The Dark Side of the Moon
This is a quick exercise that, when done regularly, can help improve the way you speak to yourself. It also helps with emotional regulation. I've found it to be better than counting sheep at night, as well. I fall asleep after having told myself some positive things.

So, how do you do it?

Go through the alphabet. For every letter in the alphabet, come up with 2-3 positive words that describe you and begin with that letter.

I have to admit that at first I had trouble getting very far, and I marked a milestone when I was able to get through the B without a sarcastic and bitter word emerging in my head.

How far can you get?

It's really true. I love learning about other people's cultures especially food and holidays and home life!
