I can understand where you are coming from. Sometimes we don't want to read certain viewpoints or information. Although I wouldn't characterize it as "here's how great the affair is" and would characterize it as "here are the things I got from the affair that made me feel good", I can understand why that content would be objectionable to some people. I also think that everyone has a right to choose what they do and do not read.
I'm not sure that another opt-in board is necessary, or even a good idea. It seems to me that it's a lot of administrative work for little gain...and sounds a bit like segregating certain opinions.
We do have other functions that can help. For instance, you can put a member on ignore
. This means that you would not see the content of that member's post unless you deliberately chose to. Do you think that would help?
